Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

Happy Easter everyone! Alleluia!

It sure feels good to finally be able to say that after forty days of holding it in. And more importantly, even though we are at home livestreaming, we celebrate and give thanks for the incredible God we have. And what we are celebrating this day is truly beyond anything men and women through all of human history (us included) could ever have imagined. Our God gave himself completely to us — in the fullest sense of that phrase — and through his profound act of self-emptying destroyed even death itself. An incredible victory has been won! And this victory is something we don’t really deserve nor could we have achieved it on our own. No — God won this victory for us for one reason only — because he loves continually, unconditionally, and eternally. What a God we have! Alleluia!

The new-life God has won for us through the saving acts of Chrisy Jesus takes more than just saying we believe. It takes a willingness to always strive to be more, give more, and love more. Easter is not about remaining the same. It is about allowing God to raise us up from whatever is holding us down, or crushing our spirits, or keeping each of us from being the beautiful person God created us to be.

Yes, as Christians we do believe some pretty wonderful things.

May those beliefs, and the power of the resurrection, help us BE wonderful people too — not for our own glory or our own purposes, but for God’s.

He is risen! Alleluia!

“I have seen the Lord” (John 20:18)
He is Risen! Alleluia!

Christ is risen! Alleluia!
The wonders our Lord has done,
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
The immense love God has for ev’ryone.

He chose to come into our world,
To walk our human tempestuous journey,
Lay down His life for all, obediently,
And redeem the world, wholeheartedly

Christ is risen! Alleluia!
He is risen to bring us the newness of life,
He is risen to cleanse out troubled and sinful hearts,
And shine upon us His Holy light.

He is risen to destroy death,
True peace, true hope and true joy restored,
And so was faith in the lost souls,
And like Mary: “I have seen the Lord!”

He is your Lord, my Lord and the Lord of all others,
He is risen and ignite our hearts with burning desire,
To seek Him, He is risen and He is alive,
And He is the God of light,
His love is in the air, everywhere, for all, you and I,
Inhale to embrace His love,
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Christ is alive! Alleluia!
